26 more days!! WOOHOOO!!! Can't wait. I spent yesterday running around buying all the weird stuff I need for my 2 day workshop with Keith Lo Bue. Just let me say that the man in the tools section in the Home Depot store is clueless. I asked him about some pliers I needed and couldn't find and he says "Oh you will probably have to find those in a specialty shop." When pressed for where he meant, he didn't know. I was asking for chain nose and round nose, which SHOULD have been in any hardware store. Anyhoo, I have a couple of friends who said they can loan me the ones I am missing.

Hope everyone else is having fun getting ready! :)

I am nervous too about meeting everyone and fitting in. I know there are going to be alot of online friends there, but meeting in person is different. I hope I still click with people in real life-I'm not any different than I am online...at least I don't think so...*gulp*

I know-I am trying to subscribe to the "less is more" theory. I don't want to bring a bunch of stuff and then not use it. It's a challenge to figure it all out though!

unfortunately,HD is clueless about alot of tools! your best bets for finding those pliers is a bead store and/or a small hardware store such as Ace.
have a wonderful time at artfest!

Thanks! I am sure it will be a good time. We don't have Ace in Canada. I have been to
Lewis craft
Michael's
Walmart (2 locations)
Revy (2 locations)
Princess Auto
Home Depot
Canadian Tire (2 locations)

At this point, I will just borrow from my friends since it's only two different pairs and worry about buying them later-maybe when I have time to go to the US and shop.

If you can't find the tools you need, I'm sure people will share in your workshop.

There's a great bead store in Port Townsend-they may have what you need there if you decide to do some last minute shopping.

Michaels and AC Moore both carry chain and roundnose pliers.

I checked my Michael's and it didn't have any. We don't have AC Moore in Canada. LOL!

It's okay though-I have two friends who are lending me the two pair I need.

THanks though! :)
